Gibson's Finest Canadian Whisky and Cola Chicken Wings
Ingredients:
. 1/2 cup (125mL) cola
. 1/4 cup (50mL) Gibson's Finest Canadian Whisky
. 1/2 cup (125mL) ketchup
. 1 tsp (5mL) Worcestershire sauce
. 1/4 cup (50mL) brown sugar
. 1/2 tsp (2mL) hot sauce, or to taste
. 3 garlic cloves, minced
. 12 (1 Kg) chicken wings, halved
. 1 tbsp (15mL) sesame seeds
Method:
1. Cut chicken wings in half. Remove tips. Set aside.
2. Combine Gibson's Finest Canadian Whisky, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, hot sauce and garlic in a bowl.
3. Place wings in a plastic re-sealable bag. Pour in half of the marinade. Refrigerate one hour or overnight. Reserve remaining marinade in fridge.
4. Place a rack on a foil lined baking tray. Spray rack with cooking spray or grease well.
5. Remove wings from marinade. Discard marinade.
6. Place attractive side of wings onto baking rack. Brush with marinade.
7. Bake for 30 minutes. Brush wings with marinade. Turn wings and brush with marinade. Bake for a further 15 minutes.
8. Brush tops of wings with marinade and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 15 minutes, until golden.
Serve with your favourite blue cheese dip, celery and carrots sticks.
Makes: 24 pieces
